With the help of Humboldt foundation’s Philip Schwartz Initiative, an information panel to urge European academic institutions to sponsor more at-risk scholars will present on their progress to date and future efforts. The representatives of all leading rescue organizations, including Scholars at Risk will be on this panel.  Dr. Sham has been invited as a scholar who has been involved with the evacuation process and networking to find academic hosts. They will share some points about what has happened this past five weeks and challenges of working alone as an academic scholar with no organizational ties as well as what could be done to help at risk scholars.
