Announcing the Fall 2024 Arabic Language Table!
Would you like to practice your Arabic and be exposed to different aspects of the Arabic speaking world's cultures in a relaxed, friendly environment? If you do and you are at the intermediate level or above, then please drop in to Williams 843 either on Mondays or Wednesdays from 6-7 pm every week, to chat in Arabic with the students of the Arabic program and the FLTA on different topics! We would love to see you!
The Arabic Language Program at the University of Pennsylvania aims to develop strong skills in Modern Standard Arabic along with a lifelong interest in and appreciation for Arabic culture. Our goal is to equip Penn students with the skills and confidence to use Arabic in real-world contexts – whether by holding conversations, listening to news broadcasts, reading stories, or watching films – and to develop an appreciation for Arabic literature in different forms, historically and until today. We are excited about our Arabic Language Program, proud of our Department's illustrious history in this field, and committed to promoting this beautiful language within the larger context of Middle Eastern and North African studies.
